Oats Payasam

Ingredients to make Oats Payasam

  • Oats 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • water 1/2 cup
  • Thick coconut Milk 1 Cup
  • Condensed milk 1/2 cup
  • sugar 1/4 cup
  • cardamom 2
  • ghee 1/4 cup
  • Dry fruits 1/4 cup (almonds, pista, cashew nuts, raisins)

How to make Oats Payasam

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the dry fruits. Once done, take them out in a plate and keep aside. In the same pan, mix milk and water and boil. Once it boils add in the sugar and mix well. Add oats and allow them to cook for 5-8 minutes.
  2. Now add the condensed milk and keep stirring. Add cardamom. Once cooked, lower the flame and add the coconut milk and mix well. It should not boil, switch the flame off once it gets warm.
  3. Garnish with the fried dry fruits and serve either chilled or warm. .
