Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tur daal - 1/3 cup
  2. Vegetable of your choice - 11/2 cup
  3. Oil - 11/2 cup
  4. Raw plantain, Raw papaya - 1/2 each
  5. Red chilli powder - to taste
  6. Tomatoes -2
  7. Panch Phutna - 1 tsp
  8. Roasted ingredients - Zeera, 1 tsp, whole red chilli -3, turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp )
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean tur dal and veggies of your choice and pressure cook them together.
  2. Dry roast zeera with whole red chilies and grind to make a powder. In a kadhayi, heat oil and add panch phutna. Once they crackle add them to the dal, vegetable mixture. Add required amount of water to make the gravy. ( 11/2 cup approx)
  3. Add salt and turmeric, stir well. Add the roasted masalas and mix. Boil the dalma for sometime and then turn off the gas. Serve hot with roti or rice.
