We all know curry leaves have a lots of health benefits. It has vitamin A and is also rich in calcium. Use this podi on chapatis or bread everyday.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curry leaves - 1 cup, tightly packed
  2. Red Chilies - 5
  3. Salt - to taste
  4. Whole White Urad Dal -1/4 cup
  5. Pepper -1 tbsp
  6. Channa dal -1 tbsp
  7. Jaggery - blueberry size

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat it with kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.Dry well in the shade.Spread the leaves in cloth and dry it for 5-6 hrs.There should not be any moisture in leaves.
  2. First dry roast the dals until it turns golden brown.then dry roast the pepper until you get a nice aroma. Dry the roast the dry red chilies for few mins.
  3. In a microwave,spread the few curry leaves in a plate. Microwave it on high for 1 minutes. Don't do it more than 1 min. The leaves should break when you crush the curry leaves is enough.
  4. Once the ingredients are cooled down, first grind the dals, pepper and red chilies. Then add the curry leaves and salt. Finally add the jaggery. just give a pulse.
  5. Store it in a airtight container.
