A very easy and mouthwatering delicacy.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Milk - 250 ml
  2. Sugar - 1/4 cup
  3. Egg - 3
  4. Butter - for greasing the pan
  5. Boiling water - 2 cup
  6. Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
  7. For caramel - 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a pan add milk and sugar and put it on flame. Whisk till the sugar dissolves in the milk but do not boil the milk. Turn off the flame and let the milk and sugar mixture rest till it attains room temperature.
  2. Once cooled, add eggs and whisk properly. Add vanilla essence and whisk again smoothly.
  3. For caramel - in a pan add sugar and stir it till it melts and changes colour to brown. Now add the water and remove from flame. Caramel is ready.
  4. Preheat the oven. In an ovenproof pan add the boiling water. Now take smaller ovenproof bowl, grease it with butter and add the caramel syrup and then pour the custard mixture in it.
  5. Place the bowl in the boiling water pan and keep it in the oven to bake for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes , take it out of the oven, unmold it and serve either warm or chilled.
