Turmeric Ginger Pickle

Ingredients to make Turmeric Ginger Pickle

  • Fresh turmeric – 150 gm
  • ginger – 50 gm
  • Green chili – 4
  • mustard – 1 tbs
  • lemon Juice – 50 ml
  • oil – 1tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Turmeric Ginger Pickle

  1. Roast mustard for just 15 seconds, cool and powder it.
  2. Wash the fresh turmeric. Peel the turmeric skin and chop them finely thin pieces.
  3. Wash the ginger. Peel the ginger skin and chop them finely thin pieces. Make sure the size of pieces of turmeric and ginger are same.
  4. Chop green chili into small round shapes. Mix turmeric, ginger, green chili with mustard powder, salt and oil. Squeeze lemon and mix well with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Transfer it in a bottle and leave it for a day. Second day, take out and shake well and start consuming.

My Tip:

For best taste, shake the bottle every time before consuming.The shelf life is 1 week after which you can refrigerate for 1 month. Do not use hands, use only a clean dry spoon.
