ABOUT Instant Idli Sambhar ( Without Daal ) RECIPE

Instant idly sambhar that too without daal yet no compromise with the taste. Done in 15 mins.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Oil - 2 tsp
  2. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  3. Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
  4. Dry red chili - 2
  5. Hing - a pinch
  6. Curry leaves - a few
  7. Small Onion - 10
  8. Pumpkin, carrot, brinjal together - 1 cup
  9. Chopped tomatoes - 2
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  12. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  13. Coconut paste - 2 tbs
  14. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  15. Besan flour - 2 tbs or as required
  16. Sugar - 1 tsp
  17. Water as required to adjust the consistency
  18. Ghee - 2 to 3 tsp
  19. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in pan. Add mustard seeds, methi seeds, red chilli, curry leaves and chopped onions, saute till onion becomes translucent. Add tomatoes and cook well till they soften.
  2. Add all the veggies one by one saute for few minute then add all the spices. Mix well and add water as required. Allow it to boil.
  3. Check the salt and adjust. Once veggies get cooked add coconut paste and besan flour mixed with water. Add sugar if you like a touch of sweetness. Boil once and take it off the stove.
  4. Transfer to the serving bowl, add ghee and coriander leaves for garnishing. Serve hot.
