Ingredients to make Thai Crab Curry

  • 4 - Crabs
  • 4 tsp - oil
  • 4 - spring onions
  • 4 - red chilli
  • 8 - garlic
  • 1/2 Inch - Small size ginger
  • 4 - lemon leaves
  • 1 - lemon grass
  • Small size - Raw turmeric
  • 5 - Japanese mint
  • 4 tsp - tamarind sauce
  • 1 tsp - Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp - Fish sauce
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • salt according to taste
  • Green coriander leaves

How to make Thai Crab Curry

  1. Curry paste : Grind ginger, garlic, lemon leaves, lemon grass, raw turmeric and Japanese mints.
  2. Pour all the crabs into boiled water for 5 minutes and then drain the water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and put chopped spring onions and chopped red chilli and cook for few min. Put curry paste and fry for a few minute.
  4. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, tamarind sauce, sugar and salt. Mix well. Add water for the gravy. Stir well.
  5. Add the crabs in the gravy and give it a nice stir. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Once done, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Use fresh crab always.
