ABOUT Stuffed Red Chilli Pickle RECIPE

This is one of the most popular and mouth watering pickles of northern India.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Big Red Chilies - 1 kg
  2. Salt - 150 gm
  3. Turmeric Powder - 50 gm
  4. Coriander Powder - 100 gm
  5. Fennel Seeds Powder (saunf) - 100 gm
  6. Brown Mustard Seeds Powder (rai) - 50 gm
  7. Yellow or black mustard seeds powder (sarson) - 100 gm
  8. Nigella seeds powder (Kalonji) - 30 gm
  9. Vinegar - 300 ml
  10. Mustard oil - 100 ml

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry large red chilies with a clean cloth. Trim the stem and make a slit on one side. Don't slit them till the end.
  2. Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and then stuff the chilies with the masala. Place them carefully in a jar. If some masala is still left while stuffing all chillies then pour that masala in the jar in the end and seal it.
  3. Don't disturb the jar for 5 hours.
  4. After 5 hours, this pickle is ready to eat.
