Jhatphat Chinese Rice

Ingredients to make Jhatphat Chinese Rice

  • 2 Cups - Basmati rice
  • 2 - Large green chilies, finely chopped
  • 4-5 - garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 spoons - Finely chopped ginger
  • 2 Cups - Broccoli florets
  • 2 Cups - Shredded cabbage
  • 2 Cups - Lima beans
  • 2 Cups - Shredded Brussels sprouts
  • 2 Spoons -Soy sauce
  • 1 spoon - Dried chilli flakes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Cup - Sliced onion
  • 1 Cup - oil

How to make Jhatphat Chinese Rice

  1. Cook the basmati rice and while its cooking heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add Chilli, garlic and ginger sauté well till garlic turns brown. Add the onions and sauté well. Add the broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and Lima beans.
  3. Add the soy sauce, salt and chilli flakes. Add the rice and sauté well. Cook till done and serve hot.

My Tip:

Adding 2 spoons of ghee to the rice will separate the rice and prevent it from clustering.
