ABOUT Tandoori Prawns/ Jhinga RECIPE

A great way to relish these prawns in healthy way by cooking in Tandoori style using just one spoon of oil in oven. This also makes a quick and easy starter for any party.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For the Tandoori masala:
  2. Tiger prawns - 20 nos
  3. Hung curd - 4tbspn
  4. Chilly powder - 1/2 to 1tspn
  5. Cumin powder - 1/2tspn
  6. Coriander powder - 1/2tspn
  7. Garam masala powder - 1/8th tspn
  8. Pepper powder - 1/4th tspn
  9. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2tspn
  10. Tandoori colour - little
  11. Tomato puree or paste - 1 to 2 tspn
  12. Oil - 1 to 2 tspn
  13. Lemon juice - 2tspn
  14. MDH Tandoori masala - 1 to 2 tspn
  15. Salt - according to taste
  16. For Green Masala:
  17. Hung curd – 4tbspn
  18. Coriander leaves - handful
  19. Mint leaves - handful
  20. Green chillies – 3 or 4
  21. Pepper powder – 1/4th tspn
  22. Garam masala powder - one pinch
  23. Juice of ½ lemon
  24. Ginger garlic paste – 1/4th tspn
  25. Oil – 2tspn
  26. Salt according to taste.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients and marinate prawns over night. Arrange prawns on skewers. Grease the grilling tray. Pre-heat oven for 15 minutes. Cook prawns for 10 to 15 minutes at 200 degrees C.
  2. Soak the skewers for 30 minutes
  3. Serve hot with your favorite dip and salad.
