Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3/4 Cup - Rice
  2. 1/4 Cup - Moong chilka daal
  3. 1 tsp - Ghee
  4. 1 tsp - Zeera
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/4 tsp - Red chilli powder
  7. 1/4 tsp - Garam Masala
  8. 1 Cup - Chopped vegetables of your choice
  9. 5 Cups - Water

Instructions

  1. Wash dal and rice together and soak in fresh water.
  2. Meanwhile chop all the veggies like capsicum, carrot. cauliflower and beans.
  3. Add ghee in a pressure cooker, put hing and zeera and let it splutter then add the chopped veggies. Saute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, all the masalas, soaked dal and rice. Mix well and add water.
  5. Put on the lid and cook for 3-4 whistles. Turn off the gas and let the stream release on its own.
  6. Serve hot with desi ghee and sprinkle garam masala.
