Ingredients to make Carrot ginger cake

  • butter (amul) 185 gms
  • Caramel 1 tbsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • sugar brown 1/2 cup
  • Grated carrot 1 cup
  • ginger paste 1 tsp
  • self raising flour 2 cups
  • meetha soda 1 tsp

How to make Carrot ginger cake

  1. In a heavy bottom pan or pressure cooker pan put butter, caramel, brown sugar and water. Bring it to a boil.
  2. Add grated carrot and ginger paste to this mix, add flour and soda to it. Pour this mixture in a baking dish and put it in the oven for 40 minutes at 180 degree centigrade.
  3. Once baked, cool it on a cooling rack and do a lemon glaze icing.

My Tip:

Add butter and lime juice to icing sugar and warm it. When it becomes a thick paste, spread it over the cake and serve. You can also do cream icing.

Do u need to cool the butter caramel brown sugar n water mixture after it boils or to put carrot ginger.. flour to the boiled cooled water mixture..
