ABOUT Aloo Mutter Paneer RECIPE

Mutter Paneer is a very popular stir fry whereas Aloo Mutter is another.I have combined all three ingredients effectively to create a really delicious combination which goes very well with rotis as well as rice.Its a lovely and spicy recipe which will be loved by everyone!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup peas – fresh or frozen
  2. 5 Potatoes – peeled and cubed
  3. 300 gms Paneer – cubed
  4. 2 medium Onions – very finely chopped
  5. 2 medium Tomatoes – diced
  6. 2 tsp Green Chili Paste
  7. 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tsp Garam Masala
  10. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  11. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  12. 1 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  13. 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  14. 4 tbsp Oil
  15. 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves – finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 1/2 tbsp Oil in a non stick pan and fry the cubed Potatoes on medium heat for approximately 15 minutes till crisp outside and tender inside.Drain and keep aside.Now in the same oil,fry the cubed paneer till golden brown.Keep aside.
  2. In the same pan add the rest of the oil and add cumin Seeds.When they crackle add the Onions and fry till translucent.Now add the Ginger-Garlic and Green Chili Pastes.Cover the pan with a lid to prevent the spluttering all over the place.
  3. Then add the diced Tomatoes.Cover and cook on low heat till the Tomatoes are mashed.Add salt,Turmeric,Kashmiri Chili and Coriander Powders.Mix well and add the Peas.
  4. If fresh then cook for 10 – 15 minutes otherwise a time of 5 minutes is sufficient.
  5. Now add the fried and cubed Potatoes and Paneer and mix well.Cover and cook on very low heat for 10 minutes till the spices amalgamate the ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle Garam Masala Powder and Coriander Leaves.Mix well and take off heat. Serve hot with Roti/Phulka/Parantha/Rice.

Awesome combo .. paneer mutter and aloo... tried cooking n really came out well.. turned out to be a mouth watering dish ..
