Ingredients to make Dried Neemflower Powder | Vepampoo Podi

  • Dried Neem flowers – 1 Cup
  • Dry red Chili – 4
  • urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • jeera / Cumin – 2 tsp
  • ghee – 2 tsp
  • salt – as needed
  • hing powder – generous pinch

How to make Dried Neemflower Powder | Vepampoo Podi

  1. Take a pan, add ghee & hing.
  2. Once the hing powder is cooked, add urad dal, chili. Cook until the urad dal turns golden brown. Add cumin powder and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add neem flowers and cook until a good aroma comes out. The neem flower would turn dark brown. Switch off the flame.
  4. Cool down until it comes to room temperature. (Note : Preparation time includes 10 minutes of cooling time of the roasted ingredients.)
  5. Powder it and store in an airtight container.
