ABOUT Gum berry / Lesora Pickle RECIPE

Very effective in curing joints pain this pickle is curative and tasty and the same time.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Gum berry - 1/2 kg
  2. Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  3. Vinegar - 4 tbsp
  4. Salt - 3-4 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  6. Turmeric - 2 tbsp
  7. Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  8. Mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
  9. Fenugreek seeds - 2 tbsp
  10. Mustard oil - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Blanch gum berry for 5 minutes in a pot boil 1 L of water then drain water. Let the berries cool and dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl add salt, turmeric, red chilli, cumin, mustard, fenugreek, garlic, vinegar and mix together.
  3. Coat the gum berries with this mixture put in glass jar.
  4. Keep it for a week in sunlight. You can start consuming the pickle after that.
