Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw Bananas, boiled - 6
  2. Potatoes, boiled - 2
  3. Jeera - 1 tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Chilli flakes as per taste
  6. Heeng - 1 pinch
  7. Poha - 1 Cup

Instructions

  1. Boil bananas and potatoes separately. Peel off the skin of the banana and let it cool.
  2. After both the banana and potatoes gets cooled blend them in a mixer without adding water.
  3. Take a cup of poha and roast on medium flame and make a flour of it. Take the potato banana mixture out in a bowl, add all the spices as per taste and make a dough. In Karnataka a lot of chilli powder is added to these papads as a result they become red but in our home we don't eat chilli a lot so I have added just a few chilli flakes.
  4. Makes small balls from the dough and spread a plastic sheet. Roll a dough ball in poha flour, cover it with another plastic sheet and roll it into round shape with a rolling pin. Papads can be made in papad machine too.
  5. Now spread these papads on plastic sheet and let them dry in sun. Once they have fully dried you can fry and serve them. Keep the papads in airtight containers.
