Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 1/2 kg
  2. Black pepper powder - 3 tsp
  3. Curd - 2 Cups
  4. Lime juice - 2 tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 6 tsp
  6. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  7. Onions - 2 ( finely chopped)
  8. Green chilies - 2
  9. Curry leaves - 2
  10. Green cardamom - 6
  11. Salt as required
  12. Ghee - 8 tsp
  13. Zeera - 1 tsp
  14. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  15. Fresh cream - 1/2 Cup
  16. Almonds - 1/2 Cup

Instructions

  1. Marinade the chicken in lime juice, black pepper powder, curd , salt and garam masala powder and place it in the freezer for half an hour.
  2. Boil half of the onions with almonds in water for 10 mins cool it down and make a paste.
  3. Fry the marinated chicken pieces in half of the ghee till golden brown, Keep aside.
  4. Heat the remaining ghee in a kadhayi add curry leaves, green cardamom powder, zeera and garam masala when it gives a nice aroma add remaining chopped onions and fry till translucent. Add ginger garlic paste fry till oil separates , add curd and saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Add paste of boiled almonds and onions fry till oil separates then add remaining black pepper powder, fried chicken and fresh cream cook till chicken become soft. Chicken kali mirch is ready to serve. Decorate with green chilies and mint leaves.
