Ingredients to make Instant white Dhokla in 15 minutes

  • 2 cup sooji
  • 1 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Green Chilles finely chopped
  • 1/2tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/8 tsp asafoetida
  • 8 curry leaves
  • 2 Green Chilles finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriender finely chopped

How to make Instant white Dhokla in 15 minutes

  1. 1 . Mix sooji,sugar,curd,salt and 1/2 cup water and keep aside for 5 minutes . 2 . Heat 1/2 glass water in a big vessel for steaming. 3 . Grease the idli mould with oil. 4 . Add baking soda,green chilli and lemon juice in the Dhokla batter . 5 . Mix the batter properly and pour it in the mould. 6 . Sprinkle red chilli powder on the Dhokla batter. 7 . Now put the mould in the vessel for steaming. 8 . Wrap the lid with a towel and cover the vessel . 9 . After 5 minutes check the Dhokla using a knife and take it out. 10 . Unmould the Dhokla . 11 . Heat oil in a pan. 12 . Pop up mustard and sesame seeds in the oil. 13 . Add Asafoetida in the oil. 14 . Put curry leaves and green chillies and switch off the gas. 15 . Tadka is ready. Now we can put it on our Dhoklas . 16 . Sprinkle coriander and serve with ketchup and chutney.

My Tip:

You can also use citric acid and eno in place of lemon juice and baking soda.
