Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Flattened rice - 11/2 Cup
  2. Large onion - 1, finely chopped
  3. Curry leaves - 12
  4. Peanuts - 2 tablespoons
  5. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  6. Salt as per your taste
  7. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric leaves - 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Grated coconut for garnishing
  10. Coriander leaves finely chopped for garnishing
  11. Lemon juice - 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. When they crackle add onions,peanuts,salt and turmeric leaves.
  2. While the onions are cooking rinse the flattened rice in water till soft. Add the flattened rice and sauté for 2- 3 minutes.
  3. Switch off the flame and add the lemon juice. Garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
  4. Serve with hot tea.
