ABOUT Eggless Whole wheat Banana Cake RECIPE

This whole wheat banana cake is perfect for your kids. The recipe doesn't use eggs.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 4 - Medium over-ripe bananas
  2. 1.5 Cups - Whole wheat atta
  3. 1tsp - Baking powder
  4. 1/2 tsp - Baking soda
  5. Pinch of salt
  6. 1/2 Cup - Regular sugar
  7. 2/3 Cup - Refined oil
  8. 1tsp - Vanilla essence
  9. 10-12 - Crushed walnuts
  10. Choco chips (optional)
  11. 1/4 Cup - Cocoa powder
  12. 1/2 Cup - Milk (optional)

Instructions

  1. Properly mash the bananas. Add oil, sugar and vanilla essence. Beat until fluffy.
  2. Sieve the atta, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder in a bowl.
  3. Now gently fold the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients.
  4. Add the chopped walnuts. Whisk for sometime and see there are no lumps left.
  5. Add milk if you see the batter is too thick to pour. I added around 1/2 cup milk. Whisk it properly.
  6. Preheat the oven at 180 degree C. Pour the batter into the greased cake mold. Gently tap the mold.
  7. Sprinkle some choco chips on top of the batter. Put the mold in oven for 25 minutes. Keep checking in between as the time and temperature varies from oven to oven. Check till the tooth pick comes out clean.
  8. Once cooled, cut and serve the cake.
