ABOUT Vanilla Custard Halwa RECIPE

Very easy and quick dessert. Can be prepared by using less number of ingredients.The bright Sunflower yellow color makes this dessert very tempting and attractive.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Vanilla flavored Custard powder- 1 Cup
  2. Sugar-3 Cups
  3. Water-4 Cups
  4. Ghee - 3 tbsp
  5. Cashew nuts pieces - 2tbsp
  6. A deep plate greased using a tsp of ghee

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottomed pan mix custard powder, sugar and water. Mix well so that there are no lumps.
  2. Heat this mixture on medium to high flame and keep stirring continuously until it thickens and looks like a glossy mass. Now add a tbsp of ghee and mix.
  3. Now reduce the flame to medium to low. Keep stirring for three mins. Now add cashewnut pieces.
  4. After adding cashewnuts add a tbsp of ghee and keep stirring. Now the halwa will start leaving the sides of the pan .
  5. Now finally add the last tbsp of ghee. The color will change slightly and becomes thick. Pour this on to a greased plate and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate this for an hour.
  7. After an hour drop this upside down on to a plate. Cut into desired shape and serve.
