  2. Water - 1glass
  3. Moong dal - 1/4glass
  4. Salt according to taste
  5. Whole Zeera - 1tspn
  6. Til (sesame seeds) - 1/4 glass (optional)
  7. Hing - 2pinches

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottom vessel, add all ingredients and water, except rice flour. Heat water till it reaches boiling point. Now add the rice flour and switch off the flame. Mix well and let the dough cool completely.
  2. This will take 45 minutes - one hour approximately. Now knead the dough smooth enough.
  3. Keep the dough covered throughout to avoid cracks and drying out.
  4. Take lemon size dough and start rolling evenly like ropes. Divide into smaller parts and then join the ends to form rings as shown in the pic.
  5. Prepare all the rings and keep them covered. Heat sufficient oil in a frying pan. Fry the rings initially on high flame then reduce to medium flame and fry till golden brown colour. Store in air tight container once the rings cool down.
