ABOUT Carrot-Potato Dosa RECIPE

As carrots are rich in vitamins, this is a good option of including it into something tasty. Adding potatoes make them even more delicious ,hence both kids and adults love this dosa. This goes well with red chutney or shallot chammanthi

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potato (medium sized)-2
  2. Carrot (medium sized) - 2
  3. Raw Rice-1 cup
  4. Green Chilly -4
  5. Asafoetida- one pinch
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Salt
  8. oil
  9. To make the shallot chutney :
  10. Shallot -8
  11. Dry red chilly -2-3
  12. Salt
  13. Coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin of potatoes and carrots and chop into small pieces. Boil them till they are soft. Soak raw rice in water for 3 hours.
  2. To make dosa batter, grind raw rice with boiled veggies,green chilly chopped onions, asafoetida and curry leaves.
  3. Heat oil in a non stick pan and make dosas. Serve hot with shallotchammanthi or Chutney
  4. To Make shallot chammanthi : Fry shallots and dry red chilly till light brown in oil.grind it into a fine paste. Add coconut oil and salt to it and mix well.
  5. Serve the chutney with the dosa.
