Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tapioca 500 g
  2. Grated coconut 1 cup
  3. Shallots 6
  4. Green chilies 2-3
  5. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  6. Curry leaves 2 sprigs
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp (divided)
  8. Salt as required
  9. Water as required
  10. Coconut oil 2 tbsp
  11. Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Peel and clean the tapioca and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Pressure cook tapioca with salt and turmeric powder for one whistle.
  3. Allow the pressure to release on its own.
  4. Meanwhile, grind together grated coconut, green chilies and shallots with little turmeric powder. Keep this mixture aside.
  5. Once the tapioca are cooked perfectly, add the coconut mix to them and mix well.
  6. Mash the cooked tapioca a bit.
  7. Heat coconut oil in a pan.
  8. Splutter mustard seeds.
  9. Add curry leaves and fry.
  10. Add this to the mashed tapioca and mix well.
  11. Serve hot.
