Summer means luscious, ripe and sweetest mangoes. I experimented a yummy sweet dish with this king of fruits and to my surprise the outcome was marvelous. Giving a twist to usual doodh peda , I tried this yummy mango peda with fresh mangoes
In a sauce pan melt the butter and add the mango puree.
Let the puree boil, then add heavy cream and milk to it.
Mix them well and cook in a low flame.
Add Milk powder and mix them well using a whisk or ladle. Make sure that there is no lump formation.
Add the milk powder is mixed well add condensed milk and saffron strands.
Now mix them well continuously for 10 -15 mins till the mixture leaves the pan without sticking.
Once the peda mixture attains the consistency transfer the mixture to a greased bowl or plate and let it cool.
Cover it with a cling wrap after it cools a bit to avoid drying up.
After the peda mixture is completely cool, take equal portion and shape them to round disc.
Stamp them with peda mould or make the designs using skewers.
These pedas can be stored in fridge and they keep well for 4-5 days.
