ABOUT Mango semolina eggless cake RECIPE

We all make choclate cake or regular sponge cake but rarely think about flavoured semolina cake, so here is the recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup semolina or suji or rava.
  2. 3/4 cup mango pulp.
  3. 1/2 cup yogurt or curd.
  4. 1/4 cup milk or as required.
  5. pinch of salt.
  6. 1 tsp mango essence.
  7. Pinch of yellow colour.
  8. 1/4 cup vegetable oil.
  9. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder.
  10. 1/2 tsp fruit salt.
  11. Mango slices for decoration.
  12. 1/2 mango pulp in the end to finish the cake.
  13. Chocolate for garnishing as suggested in the picture.

Instructions

  1. Start by adding semolina ( fine rava) and all the dry ingredients in a deep bowl.
  2. After mixing all the dry ingredients properly now add the yogurt , mango pulp, oil (can use melted butter), mango essence, yellow colour, cardamom powder, salt , and mix well. Make a lump free and smooth mixture.
  3. Batter is ready cover it and keep it aside for around 10-15 mins.
  4. After 15 mins open the lid , u will notice batter is dry and thick so now add milk to adjust the consistency.
  5. Before adding the fruit salt in the batter take a pressure cooker keep it on flame.put a stand in the centre of the cooker. Pour water let it boil.
  6. At the very end add the fruit salt mix well .
  7. In an already greased tray or mould pour the batter. Tap the mould to evenly spread the batter.
  8. Place the mould in the cooker. cover the lid remove the whistle and cook the cake for 15 to 20 mins.
  9. Bake the cake in the pre heated oven at 180 degree for 30 mins
  10. Insert a knife or tooth pick to check whether cooked completely.
  11. Cut the cake into two halves
  12. Place one half on a cake top, pour sugar water to moist the cake. evenly apply the mango pulp on the cake now, place the other half of the cake on top of it. Moist this also with sugar water .
