About Gulabi Coconut Phirni Recipe

This is a sweet from north India, made with milk and rice.

Gulabi Coconut Phirni

Ingredients to make Gulabi Coconut Phirni

  • One liter milk
  • 14 tsp sugar
  • 10 tbsp rice
  • Desicated coconut 3 tdsp
  • Dried rose petals 2 tsp
  • rose essence 1/2 tsp

How to make Gulabi Coconut Phirni

  1. Soak rice for 20 minutes and then grind it with little milk out of the one liter to be used. Keep the milk to boil.
  2. Once it starts boiling, add ground rice.
  3. Add sugar and cook for 2-4 minutes, add rose petals, coconut and essence and immediately set it in bowls or glasses.

My Tip:

As its done on gas immediately set in the dish you want to serve or else it will not set well.

Hi, i remember making this the first time at my in laws place. But i made it with sooji. Can i use sooji here too? What else changes should i make while making it with sooji?
