ABOUT creamy jackfruit curry RECIPE

Jackfruit curry, made in a cashewnuts based creamy gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. jackfruit pieces 1cup
  2. Onion 2
  3. Curd 1/4cup
  4. ceshews 7-8
  5. Salt to taste
  6. white chilli powder 1/4tsp
  7. Green chilli 1
  8. Cumin seeds 1/2tsp
  9. garlic 5-6pods
  10. ginger 1small piece
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  12. seffron powder 1/8tsp
  13. Cream 1tbsp
  14. garam masal powder 1/2tsp
  15. Oil 2tbsp
  16. coriender leaves for garnish
  17. watermelon seeds 1tsp

Instructions

  1. Boil pieces of jackfruit in water with some salt for few minuts then drain extra water keep it in a sieve
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry it for a minute
  3. Now marinate fried jackfruit with curd, salt ,white pepper powder, turmeric powder ,saffron powder ,garam masala powder & keep aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile Cut onion in thin slices then blanch it in some water for 1minute
  5. Now after blanching oniond drain extra water from it add cumin seeds, green chilli ,ginger piece
  6. Add cashews and watermelon seeds in it and Make a fine paste of all ingredients
  7. Now heat oil in a pan add the onion paste in it And cook till oil seperates
  8. Now add marinated jackfruit in it and cook again for 1minute
  9. Add 1/3cup of water in it and cover pan with a lid and cook on low flame for 2minutes then turn off the gas
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves and cashews
