ABOUT Crispy & Spicy Sweet Corn Dosa RECIPE

I made this sweet corn dosa as a trial on a Sunday for dinner and it became super hit in our family.A different dosa that tastes really delicious, spicy and crispy.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Sweet Corn 3 cups
  2. Raw rice 2 cups
  3. Urad dal 2 tb spoons
  4. Moongh dal and Chana dal 2 tb spoons each
  5. Red chillies 3 or 4
  6. Finely chopped onions 1 /2 cup (Optional)
  7. Chopped curry leaves 1 tb spoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. oil for making dosa

Instructions

  1. Mix the rice and dals together and wash well. Soak them in water for 3 hours.
  2. Grind soaked rice, dals, red chillies, sweet corn and required salt in a mixer jar to slightly coarse batter adding water. consistency.
  3. When the batter is in right consistency add the chopped onions to the batter and give just two or three turns.
  4. The batter should be in pouring consistency and it need not be very fine.
  5. Can add half tea spoon of hing / asafoetida powder if you like the flavour. Add the chopped curry leaves too.
  6. keep aside the batter for 3 to 4 hours. Then refrigerate the batter and take it out and use whenever necessary.
  7. Heat a dosa tawa and grease it with half tea spoon of oil.
  8. Pour a ladle full of batter on the tawa once it is well heated and spread to thin dosas. Make a small hole in the centre and drizzle some oil in the centre and around.
  9. After a minute, flip it off to the other side. Once both the sides are crispy well cooked the adai is ready to serve.
