ABOUT Tahiri , vegetables pulav RECIPE

Its a very popular north indian delicacy , consumed with curd, chutney and some poppadums.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Basmati Rice
  2. 1 cup green peas
  3. 1 cup carrots cauliflower potato
  4. Soya chunks 2 tablespoons
  5. 1 inch ginger
  6. dry fruits for garnishing
  7. Ghee 4 teaspoon
  8. Cumin seeds 1/2teaspoon
  9. Salt 2 teaspoon
  10. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Red chilli powder 1/2teaspoon
  12. Garam masala powder 1/2teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice for half an hour
  2. Cut all the vegetables into cubes
  3. Put a pan on flame
  4. Add ghee in the pan
  5. Add soya chunks
  6. Add dry spices and add 2 glass water
  7. Add vegetables
  8. Add rice and cover the lid at slow flame
  9. When rice is done ..turn off the flame
  10. Garnish with dry fruits
  11. Serve hot with curd and Chutney
