Tangy and yummy paneer, goes well with roti or some pulav.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Paneer - 1.5 cup, cubed
  2. Onion - 1 medium, cubed
  3. Tomatoes - 1 large,cubed
  4. Capsicum - 1, cubed
  5. Ginger - 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  6. Garlic paste - 1tsp
  7. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  8. Onion - 1 large fine chopped or pureed
  9. Green chillies - 2slit
  10. Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  11. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
  12. Chilly powder - 1/2 tbsp
  13. Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
  14. Garam masala powder - 3/4 th tbsp
  15. Kasoothri methi - 1 tbsp
  16. Ghee\oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Shallow fry the cubed onion and capsicum and keep aside .
  2. Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick kadai fry cumin seeds, add the ginger, garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for few seconds add fine chopped onion and sauté till they turn pink.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, tomatoes,red chilli and green chili and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Cover and cook on low flame for 3 minutes.
  5. Uncover and mash tomatoes with a spoon.Add water and salt and continue to simmer for some 7 to 8 minutes.
  6. later add crushed kasuri methi and garam masala powder and stir.
  7. Add the paneer cubes ,tomato cubes , fried onion and capsicum . stir gently .
  8. Cook for about 2 to 3 mins or until paneer is well coated with masala & the gravy is thick almost.
  9. Transfer into a serving kadai and serve hot with tandoori .
