ABOUT Kasundi(Mustard Sauce) RECIPE

Kasundi is made of mustard, raw mango,green chillies,turmeric.It is a condiment eaten with rice normally in bengali.It can be eaten with pakoras,samosa,pizza,burger,grilled vegitables,hotdogs etc.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Half cup black mustard.
  2. Half cup yellow mustard.
  3. One raw mango(peeled and cut into pieces).
  4. 2-3 green chillies and a long piece of ginger.
  5. One tea spoon dhaniya powder(the whole coriander seeds need to be roasted and ground to powder]
  6. Mustard oil 2-3 table spoon or (This can be replaced with refined oil or olive oil]
  7. Haldi [turmeric powder] one table spoon.
  8. Water which is thoroughly boiled(a glass of water),is used as per your consistency
  9. Salt one tea spoon,as per your taste.
  10. Vineger half cup.
  11. Sugar one tea spoon.

Instructions

  1. In grinder,grind the yellow and black mustard well.
  2. Now add mango pieces,chillies,ginger,dhaniya powder,turmeric,salt,Mustard oil(olive oil)
  3. Blend.
  4. Add little water to it,a cup of water(previously boiled).
  5. Continue blending,until u get a fine paste.
  6. Lastly,add vineger,blend once again so that vineger mixes well with all ingredients.
  7. Store in a jar,you do not need to refrigerate for a week,then you can keep it in a refrigerater.
