Chicken Popcorn

Ingredients to make Chicken Popcorn

  • chicken - 250 gms boneless
  • all purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup  
  • pepper to taste
  • Black salt or use normal salt to taste
  • chilly powder - 1 tbsp or as per your taste
  • onion powder - ½ tsp
  • garlic powder - ½ tsp
  • egg - 1
  • Milk as required
  • oil - ½-1 cup
  • Cornflakes - 1 cup crushed or as required

How to make Chicken Popcorn

  1. Take the chicken and cut into small cubes.
  2. Break the egg and add some milk and whisk nicely. Add little salt to taste.
  3. Add the chicken to it. The liquid mixture must fully cover the chicken so add milk accordingly. You can marinate and keep for sometime.
  4. In a separate bowl add the flour, salt, pepper and the chilly powder, onion powder, garlic powder and mix well. Set aside.
  5. In a bowl crush the Cornflakes and set aside.
  6. Take out the chicken from the marinate mixture. Retain the mixture. Now coat the chicken nicely in the flour mixture.
  7. Now heat oil in a pan. Take chicken one by one from the flour mixture, dip it in the egg milk mixture, coat it in the crushed cornflakes and deep fry till golden and crispy approximately 10-12on medium heat ( for making it easier and less messy i make ready all the chicken and then start frying it)
  8. Take out in paper towel, serve with any dipping or sauce of your choice or sprinkle some chat masala and serve.

My Tip:

You can substitute onion and garlic powder with chat masala.
