Pasta Al Pesto

Ingredients to make Pasta Al Pesto

  • Spaghetti 1 pack
  • Extra virgin olive oil 1/2 cup
  • garlic 5-6 cloves
  • Fresh Basil Leaves (Available in Big basket always) 1 cup
  • salt as per taste
  • Pine nuts, almonds or Walnuts (I added almonds) 6-7
  • French Beans 4-5(cut into two)
  • potatoes 1( sliced)

How to make Pasta Al Pesto

  1. Firstly, take a deep pan and fill water upto 3/4 ths , add 2 tbsp of olive oil and salt and boil till bubbles come.
  2. Now add the Spaghetti and boil till the sphagetti is soft and completely cooked, though in proper Italian cooking of pasta is paused just before its completely soft.
  3. Now boil the potatoes and french beans and keep aside.
  4. Grind together Basil leaves, garlic, nuts, salt and olive oil into a fine smooth paste.
  5. Now on a low flame, take a thick pan, add the cooked sphagetti, boiled potatoes and beans and the finely ground Pesto sauce and mix them all together to combine well and switch off the flame.
  6. Garnish the Pasta Al Pesto with some toasted nuts, Basil leaves and some extra virgin olive oil..
  7. Voila.... Pasta Al Pesto is ready to gobble....

My Tip:

Quantity of basil can be varied according to taste as it has a very strong flavour...
