ABOUT Spinach fritters RECIPE

Spinach fritters are perfect for Diwali celebrations as we need some savoury too along with diwali sweets.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 20 fresh and crisp spinach leaves
  2. 8 tbsp gram flour
  3. 1/2 cup water
  4. 1/4 tsp Salt
  5. 1 tsp cumin powder
  6. 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
  9. 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  10. 1/4 tsp chat masala
  11. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the spinach leaves.
  2. Make a batter of slightly thick consistency with all the things mentioned under the ingredients (except the oil).
  3. Take each leaf and coat it with the batter thoroughly. Deep fry them in a heated kadai with oil till it turns into golden brown colour and is crisp.
  4. Once fried, drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle some chat masala on top.
  5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup on the side.
