ABOUT Matar Paneer RECIPE

A favorite dish among the punjabis, which is enjoyed with chapatis, naan or pulao.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 450 gms fresh peas
  2. 1 tsp coriander powder
  3. 200 gms cottage cheese
  4. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  7. 1 large onion finely chopped
  8. 2tbsp oil
  9. 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  10. 1tsp ginger
  11. 1 medium tomato finely chopped
  12. salt to taste
  13. 1/2 cup curd
  14. coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Grind together sliced onion, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, ginger and garlic to a fine paste.
  2. 2. Heat oil to smoking in a wok. Fry the paneer cubes till light brown and keep it aside. Fry the spices and peas in the same oil and keep aside.
  3. 3. Add the tomatoes, salt and a little bit of water. Cook till the peas are soft. Add the paneer and simmer for 6 mins.
  4. 4. Add the curd( beaten form and stir well. Cover and cook for 4mins.
  5. 5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves.

Thank you for these amazing article I really like these and I never tried these kind of recipe but i will be serving my guest in upcoming Weekend, Before that Can you please tell me that this iranian saffron is fair for using in recipe or not ? I'm going to purchase it from there florida store so that is why i wanted to be sure before buying I read your article which is really made me think before buying from any where that is why i'm asking i hope you can reply me quickly Please also mention quantity of using so i will follow you Thanks Debra
