Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. -2 cups cooked rice
  2. -2 diced carrots
  3. -one diced potato
  4. -Few french beans chopped
  5. -Half a cup of green peas(matar)
  6. -Few broccoli florets
  7. -One tsp cumin seeds
  8. -2green chillis
  9. - turmeric powder
  10. -salt for taste
  11. -4 sprig chives or spring onion
  12. -Any cooking oil
  13. FOR MAKING PASTE:(blending)
  14. -2tbsp coriander seeds
  15. -3dry red chillies
  16. -3garlic cloves
  17. -half a ginger


  1. -To begin preparation of manipuri style vegetable pulao cook the rice and keep ready or you can use left over rice
  2. -First take coriander seeds,dry red chilli,garlic and ginger according to measurement in ingredient list and blend in blender by adding little water
  3. -Take little oil in vessel and add cumin seeds.when they crackle add spring onions,turmeric and fry for few secs
  4. -Add blended paste and mix for few minutes until raw smell of ginger goes
  5. -Now add all veggies of your favourite choice(carrots,beans,potato,broccoli,peas)
  6. -close the lid and cook for some time.When veggies are almost cooked add salt and rice to it and mix properly
  7. -serve hot with raita.
