ABOUT Aam Paak/ Mango Barfi RECIPE

Delicious sweet from Maharashtra . Made of mango and khoya.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. Pulp of 2 Alphonso mangoes
  3. Sugar 200 grams
  4. Cardamom powder 1/6 teaspoon
  5. Nuts(almonds soaked in water) to garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a heavy bottomed pan
  2. reduce it and make khoya/mava by constant stirring. It will take approximately 45 minutes to make khoya
  3. Then add mango pulp and sugar.
  4. Mix well and cook till most of the moisture evaporates and a solid mass remains.
  5. Add cardamom powder and stir well. Pour the mixture into a greased tray and level the surface. Garnish with almonds on top
  6. Leave to set for two hours in cool dry place. Cut into desired shape and serve.
