This is also one of the popular paneer recipes like paneer tikka masala ,Shahi paneer etc.This paneer recipe yields a delicious creamy smooth restaurant style gravy.It is best served with butter nan ,lachcha parantha or any rice varieties like peas pulao,jeera rice or biryani.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gm fresh paneer
  2. 2 onion chopped
  3. 3 large chopped tomatoes
  4. 10 to 12 cashew nuts
  5. 1 tspn coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tspn garam masala powder
  7. 1/2 tspn Kashmiri mirch powder
  8. 1/4 tspn Red chili powder
  9. 1/4 tspn black salt
  10. White salt according to taste
  11. 1/2 tspn Sugar
  12. 1 1/2 tspn butter
  13. 1 tbspn oil
  14. 1 bay leaf
  15. 2 cardamom
  16. 1 cinnemon stick
  17. 2 cloves
  18. 1/5 tspn ginger garlic paste
  19. 1/2 tspn kesoori methi
  20. 2 tbspn cream
  21. Few coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan with some oil add chopped onion and fry them until they turn transparent
  2. Now add chopped tomatoes fry with salt for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Now add garam masala , coriander powder ,Kashmiri mirch powder , black salt ,sugar and cashew nuts.
  4. Fry until the mixture gets roasted well and it should begin to leave the sides of pan.Now switch off the heat .
  5. When the mixture cools ,blend it with a cup water in a blender to very smooth .
  6. Now add butter to the same pan,add dry spices and fry for 1 minute .Add ginger garlic paste and saute well until the raw smell disappears.
  7. Now pour the blended puree,add red chilli powder.If desired add 1/4 cup water . Cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the gravy thickness.
  8. Let the gravy reach the desired consistency before you add panner
  9. Now add paneer ,kasuri methi.Stir well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add cream stir well and cook again 2 min .
  10. Transfer butter paneer to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
