Dal Pakwan

Ingredients to make Dal Pakwan

  • 200 gm refined flour or maida
  • 250gm gram pulses
  • One chopped tomato
  • green coriander
  • salt
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Aamchur powder or dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp
  • oil + oil for deep frying
  • One tea spn Kalunji or nigella seeds
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp

How to make Dal Pakwan

  1. Take maida in a bowl, add two tbl spn oil salt and some kallonji mix, and knead a dough with help of water
  2. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Now take chana dal wash and soak it for one hour
  4. Cook the dal with water for two whistles
  5. Now put oil for frying pakwan, Make small ball make puri folk it and fry on medium flame make all crispy puris like this
  6. Put a pan on flame, add one tbl spn oil
  7. Put some cumin seeds, add one chopped tomato ,salt ,turmeric powder
  8. Add the cumin powder and the chilly powder.
  9. Now add the amchur powder.
  10. Stire nicely and then add the garam masala powder, cook till the masla leaves oil and then add the boiled chana dal. Mix nicely and add salt.
  11. Add coriander leaves and serve with crispy puris or enjoy your Dal pakwan
