ABOUT Egg Pudding.( A basic 4 ingredient Pudding) RECIPE

When we think of yellow color recipes, the first thing comes to mind is Egg. Here I have shared a basic egg Pudding recipe which my Mom taught to me.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole eggs 2
  2. Full fat milk 2 cups
  3. Saffron strands few.
  4. Brown bread slices 2
  5. Sugar 10 to 12 spoons. spoons.
  6. Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat milk, add 6 tsp sugar.
  2. Mix well, add more 2 tsp of required. ( according to the taste) Add Saffron strands by mixing in little milk.
  3. Let it cool. Cut the edges of the bread, crumble with hand and add to milk when it is still warm.
  4. Beat eggs well. Add Vanilla extract to the cold milk.
  5. Now in a steel pan in which you are preparing Pudding, add 4 tsp sugar.
  6. Let the sugar caramalize. . Give a stir so caramel spreads evenly.
  7. Heat water in steamer ( in which we make Dhokla) .
  8. Now add egg mixture in to the milk pan. Mix well and transfer to the pan you caramalized.
  9. Steam for 15 minutes. Cool.
  10. Keep in fridge after setting. Invert the chilled Pudding in a plate carefully. Serve chilled with caramel sauce.
