ABOUT Lime and Lemony Malta Smoothie With Ginger RECIPE

This delicious smoothie has a refreshing blend of citrus flavours and fresh ginger juice adds a kick to the taste and enhances the flavours too. The lemon and lime add zing to the sweet Malta. Ginger is good for sinuses and soothes a sensitive stomach.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Malta Fruit / Blood Orange - 1 Medium
  2. Lime - 1/2
  3. Fresh Ginger Root - 1/4 inch
  4. Lemon - 1/2 (juiced)
  5. Organic Honey - 1 teaspoon
  6. Greek Yogurt / Thick Home Cultured Yogurt - 2 tablespoon
  7. Tender Coconut Water - frozen as ice cubes - 4-6

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut malta and lime. Keep the keep the mesocarp, which is full of nutrients.
  2. Extract juice from the fresh ginger root.
  3. To extract the juice of fresh ginger root. Grate the ginger and gently squeeze all the juice from it. Add a teaspoon of water to the grated leftover and give a good squeeze again to extract whatever is left. Use it fresh.
  4. In a blender jar add all the ingredients. You can use them frozen or fresh.
  5. Add juice of lemon, yoghurt and honey.
  6. Blend until smooth.
  7. Once all the ingredients have blended well, pour the sunshine smoothie in a glass and add 1-2 crushed fresh mint leaves and coconut water ice cubes before serving. Serve it absolutely chilled.
