ABOUT Bhindi Tawa Fry RECIPE

A spicy side dish with few masalas. Goes well along with rasam, curd rice. Simple yet delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 12 to 15 lady's finger
  2. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  3. 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoon dhania powder
  5. Pinch of turmeric
  6. Pinch of Kasuri methi
  7. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  8. 1/4 teaspoon pepper and jeera powder (both roasted)
  9. 3 tablespoon oil
  10. 2 strands of curry leaves

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add in all the dry masala's (red chilli powder, dhania powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, pepper and jeera powder, Kasuri methi) mix well.
  2. Wash and slit the lady's finger in the centre (make sure you won't cut it fully to the other end)
  3. Fill in the center the prepared masala powder.
  4. In a Tawa, heat oil.
  5. Place the masala filled lady's finger and fry.
  6. Add in the whole curry leaves strands. Cover it with a lid and fry on low flame. Cook all sides. (Use a spoon to turn the bhindi)
  7. Finally, it looks like this.
  8. Serve it with rasam rice or curd rice Or chapati.
