ABOUT Panna Cotta RECIPE

Panna cotta is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and moulded.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 400 ml heavy cream
  2. 400 ml milk
  3. 20 gm gelatin
  4. 1 vanilla pod
  5. 3 -4 tbsp Sugar
  6. 400 gm Strawberries
  7. 6-7 blueberry (optional )
  8. 3 tbsp sugar
  9. 2-3 drops of lemon juice (optional )

Instructions

  1. Soak the gelatin in warm water.Set aside.
  2. Heat cream and milk along with scraped vanilla pod and sugar. Don't boil.
  3. Add the gelatin to the milk mixture and switch off the stove.
  4. Remove the stem and pour the panna cotta to individual ramekins.
  5. Refrigerate for 4-5hrs.
  6. In a sauce pan add the berries and sugar with 2 tbsp water.
  7. Cook until it thickens little.
  8. Mash few berries in between.
  9. Add lemon juice if using.
  10. Top the panna cotta with the berry compote and indulge in the deliciousness.

can we add anything else in place of milk?
