ABOUT Aloo Bukhara/Aloo Bokhra/ Plum Chutney RECIPE

Aloo Bukhara is of sweet and sour taste. It is very easy to make, with few ingredients sweet, tangy and spicy Aloo Bukhara chutney is ready to serve. It can be consumed with roti or paratha or it is good as a sweet and sour dip.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 5 Aloo Bukhara/ plum(cut into small pieces)
  2. 1 dried red chili
  3. 1 tbsp mustard oil
  4. 2 tsp Panch Phoran (cumin, caraway, fennel, fenugreek, mustard seeds)
  5. 2 cups sugar
  6. 1 tsp red chili powder
  7. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 cup water
  9. 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add dried red chilli and Panch Phoran, when it starts crackling, add Aloo Bukhara pieces. Stir for 2 minutes then add 1/2 cup of water and let it cook in medium flame until Aloo Bukhara is well cooked.
  2. After Aloo Bukhara is soft and tender add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sugar. Cook until all ingredients mix properly and consistency of chutney is thick.
  3. Serve after it is cooled completely.
