ABOUT Three Fruits and Almonds Yogurt Smoothie RECIPE

Smoothies are great nourishes, convenient and very versatile. They have the best of fruit fibre and are naturally sweetened mostly. This is a wonderful smoothie when you are hungry but not in a mood to cook.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Banana large- 1
  2. Fresh Figs - 3Large or 4 Small
  3. Apple - 1 large
  4. Home Cultured Yogurt / Greek Yogurt - 4 tablespoon
  5. Almonds - 6-8

Instructions

  1. Soak the almonds in a little warm water for at least an hour. Chop once they have softened.
  2. Cut the fruits and place on a tray covered with parchment paper and freeze. Keep the skin of the apple.
  3. Freeze some coconut water in ice cube tray.
  4. You can do steps 1-3 the night before.
  5. When about to make the smoothie add chilled yoghurt, fruits and chopped soaked almonds in a blending jar. I keep the skin of the almonds sometimes, you can remove it.
  6. Add a few coconut water ice cubes and blend until smooth. There should be no chunks left.
  7. In an open mason jar or tall glass pour the smoothie and serve with more coconut water ice cubes.
  8. Enjoy it as a post workout or breakfast drink.
