Ingredients to make Summer Special Khus Khus Ki Sabji(Poppy Seeds Curry)

  • poppy seeds 200gms
  • onion 4 big sized and finely chopped
  • ginger garlic paste 1 Tablespoon seeds
  • Cumin and mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon
  • tomato finely chopped 1
  • oil 2 1/2 tablespoon
  • bay leaf 1
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 1/2 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder 1teaspoon
  • All ground spice powder (Garam masala) 1 tablespoon
  • salt as per taste

How to make Summer Special Khus Khus Ki Sabji(Poppy Seeds Curry)

  1. Soak poppy seeds in enough water for 10 -15 minutes and Grind into a paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and temper it with bay leaf, cumin and mustard seeds.
  3. After crackling of seeds add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste and stir once.
  4. Immediately add Khuskhus paste and roast it till it becomes golden brown.
  5. .Add Chilli powder, turmeric powder and chopped tomatoes and salt let it cook for 2mins.
  6. Add garam masala and 2 cups of water and let it cook till you have a consistent gravy.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with chapattis.
