ABOUT Stuffed Cub Sandwich RECIPE

Inspired by a stuffed burger on You Tube, the day I craved for it, I obviously did not have burger buns at home. And then the Eureka moment happened! I made it with three slices of bread, piled one on top of the other, the middle portion neatly scooped out with the sharp-edged cap of a pickle bottle. Thank god for the bad finishing Indian packaging material are famous for! Caveat: The stuffing can be made with anything you have at home.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Three slices plain bread
  2. Butter
  3. Diced green capsicum
  4. Chopped green chillies
  5. Cubed smoked chicken or ham or bacon
  6. Grated or sliced cheese
  7. One egg
  8. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the three slices of bread one on top of the other
  2. Take a sharp-edged cap from a bottle in your kitchen and scoop out the middle of the top two slices, taking care to see that the last slice remains intact. Retain the scooped out portion.
  3. Apply some butter on the last slice and on the edges of the others.
  4. Now put in a layer of smoked chicken or filling of your choice
  5. Add a layer of diced capsicum and chopped green chillies
  6. Add grated cheese
  7. Now break an egg on top of all this
  8. Add salt and pepper
  9. Seal with the scooped out diskette of bread
  10. Cross it over with two thin slices of capsicum and some more grated cheese
  11. Now place this sandwich in a preheated oven at about 250 degree centigrade for 7-8 mins
  12. Take it out and wrap in foil and put it back into the oven for another 20 minutes.
  13. Your stuffed sandwich is ready, made in between ad breaks and you haven't missed out on any of the evil intrigue in the serial!
