About Rava Laddoo Recipe

An easy method of making rava or semolina laddoos. My mom used to make these and has taught me so that I can make them for Diwali.

Rava Laddoo

Ingredients to make Rava Laddoo

  • 500 gms semolina / rava
  • 400 gms powdered sugar
  • 250 gms ghee
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essense
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 50 gms raisins

How to make Rava Laddoo

  1. Heat ghee. On a slow flame, roast the rava till it gives a nice aroma. Keep aside to cool.
  2. When cooled, add powdered sugar and raisins and mix well.
  3. Mix essence and milk. Keep aside.
  4. In a plate or small bowl take little rava mixture. Add 1-2 teaspoons of milk to moisten the rava. Shape into laddoos.

My Tip:

Instead of mixing the raisins in the rava, add 2-3 raisins while shaping into laddoos. This will ensure that all the laddoos have raisins. Even roasted almonds and cashews can be added to make richer laddoos.
