Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mutton 1 kg cut into small pieces
  2. Lemon juice 2 tsp
  3. Bhuna jeera powder 2 tsp
  4. Garam masala or mutton masala 1 tsp
  5. 2 tblspn ginger garlic paste (Fresh)
  6. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  7. Chopped coriander handful
  8. 3-4 green Chillies finely chopped or minced
  9. Mix whole spices
  10. 2 Bay leaf, 2 black cardamom, 1 cinnamon stick, 4-5 cloves, 2-3 green cardamom powdered)
  11. Dhaniya powder 2 tsp
  12. Red chilly powder 1 tsp
  13. 4-5 finely chopped onions
  14. 6 tomatoes finely chopped
  15. 2-3 tblspn curd
  16. 2 tblspn oil
  17. 3 tblspns desighee
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take Washed Mutton pieces in a bowl.
  2. Add lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, curd, salt, haldi, 1/4 tsp mutton masala. Mix well and marinate it for 1 hr.
  3. In a pan or Kadhahi heat 2 tblspn oil add whole spices and saute till aromatic. add marinated mutton pieces.
  4. Cook on low flame for 10-15 mins from all the sides.
  5. In a pressure cooker heat up the desi ghee.
  6. Add onion and Chillies and saute for 2 mins.
  7. Add Chopped tomatoes, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, haldi, red chilly powder, salt and cook till oil seprates.
  8. Add seared mutton pieces and cook for 5 mins.
  9. Add 1 cup water and garam masala and cover with the lid.
  10. Pressure cook for 20-25 mins on low flame.
  11. Sprinkle hara dhaniya and cardamom powder and bhuna jeera powder at the time of serving.
